HSNT Equine Ranch

The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) operates the only large-scale horse ranch in North Texas, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses. Since 2015, we've given more than 1,000 horses a second chance at life.

Our 33-acre ranch in Johnson County partners with law enforcement on cruelty investigations and provides refuge for horses and donkeys in need when their owners can no longer care for them. Every animal in our care receives expert, compassionate rehabilitation from our experienced team until they're ready for adoption.

1. Explore Our Residents

2. Submit an Interest Form

Whether you have found a specific horse you love or are just beginning your search, the first step is to complete our Ranch Adopter Interest Form.

Custom Notifications: If you don't see your perfect match today, this form allows us to notify you when an animal meeting your specific criteria arrives.
The Process: We process forms in the order they are received. Once reviewed, our team will contact you to schedule an appointment to visit the Ranch.

3. Meet and Finalize
Appointments are required and are only scheduled after an interest form has been submitted. This ensures we can dedicate time to help you interact with the horses and confirm a good fit. Once you’ve found your match, you will complete the final adoption contract on-site.
