Make a Difference While you Learn.
Real impact. real experience.
Interning with the Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) means contributing to work that directly supports lifesaving programs while gaining real-world experience year-round, across every academic semester.
Our internships span journalism, marketing, social media and content creation, photography and videography, graphic design, and development-focused roles including grant writing, corporate partnerships, customer relationship management (CRM), major gifts, business analysis, strategic initiatives, and Equine Ranch content creation. Every project plays a role in advancing our mission, whether you are telling stories, analyzing data, or helping secure the resources that keep our work moving forward.

build Your Portfolio.
SKILLS THAT MATTER.
HSNT interns gain real-world experience across creative and operational teams, from marketing and communications to development and Equine Ranch content creation. You may assist with blog writing, media outreach, social content, photography, and video production, or work behind the scenes supporting grants, corporate development, CRM systems, donor engagement, and strategic planning. These are real-world skills that strengthen portfolios, resumes, and career readiness in nonprofit and corporate settings.
Internships Tailored to Your Interests.
FIND THE PATH THAT FITS YOU.
Our internship opportunities are designed to align with a wide range of academic and career interests. Whether you are drawn to design, content creation, data and analytics, fundraising strategy, or nonprofit operations, HSNT offers meaningful ways to apply what you are learning in the classroom to real-world challenges. Interns are placed where their skills and interests can grow while supporting the mission.
Your creativity, analysis, and effort all play a role in ensuring more pets receive the care, protection, and second chances they deserve.

Scholarships & Academic Credit.
EXPERIENCE THAT SUPPORTS YOUR EDUCATION.
Many HSNT internships are semester-based with flexible hours designed to work around your class schedule. Interns who are a strong fit may have the opportunity to continue beyond a single semester, and many do! Students may also be eligible for academic credit or nonprofit internship scholarships through their university.
While HSNT internships are unpaid, they offer meaningful experience, portfolio development, and real-world impact that sets you apart.
