Golden Years Companion
The Joy of growing older together
Studies show that pet companionship lowers stress, reduces blood pressure, and boosts mental well-being. At the Humane Society of North Texas, we believe everyone deserves the joy and unconditional love that comes with sharing life with a furry friend.
The Golden Years Companion Program pairs senior adopters with senior pets who are often overlooked in shelters. Together, pets and people build lasting bonds and offer comfort and purpose during their golden years.
Free adoptions for senior citizens are only possible through the generosity of our community partners. If you would like to help sponsor this program, please email sponsorships@hsnt.org to learn how to get involved, or donate by clicking the button below.
