Message: OMG… I went to HSNT on 2309 Chester St in Fort Worth for vaccination shots for our fur baby and was blown away by their service, politeness, and professionalism. I was greeted by Oscar, one of the nicest people I’ve met in a long time. Oscar was so helpful and informative; he basically did everything for me and was so kind to my baby. This staff understands customer service and being kind to everyone. Unfortunately, I missed the name of the young lady who was helping Oscar, but she was the same way. These days, you normally don’t even get a smile from people, but this staff was amazing, and I will return with my other babies in the future. Oscar, “Thank you” for being kind and generous with your time and explaining everything. I’m extremely impressed with the service I received. Thank You HSNT!

Our volunteers give our pets 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. They give them walks, playtime, cuddles, confidence, enrichment, and a chance to simply enjoy being a pet while they wait for what comes next.

Moon was adopted in March, and his family recently sent us an update that made us smile. He’s now Milo, and according to them, he is “the absolute sweetest boy.”

He demands attention, loves his pets and has LOTS to say. He’s also become his human’s dedicated bath buddy, sitting beside the tub, investigating the water and trying to drink straight from the spout.

It’s safe to say 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, and they found one very sweet, very chatty little best friend.

Sometimes, the hardest part of loving them is knowing we don’t get to keep them forever. But Baxter’s story reminds us why we choose to love them anyway. 🤎🐾

𝐅𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨, 𝐁𝐚𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐇𝐒𝐍𝐓. What followed was so much more than an adoption.

He grew up alongside his people. He was there for their wedding, anniversaries, celebrations and some of life’s hardest moments. For 15 years, he was a constant presence through all the changes life brought their way.

As his family shared with us, “𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠. 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲.”

On June 30, Baxter’s family said goodbye to their best friend after 15 wonderful years together. And while saying goodbye is never easy, what came before it was a lifetime of love.

That’s the beautiful thing about adoption. You may walk into a shelter thinking you’re giving an pet a home, without realizing just how much they will become part of your story.

𝐒𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞.
