Meet Moxie and Pixie, two-month-old Chihuahua mixes who look exactly like tiny plush toys. These sisters have a signature squeaky bark that sounds just like a rubber duck whenever they want your undivided attention. They are also expert mountaineers who love climbing up people to find the best seat on a shoulder.

During @petsmartcharities National Adoption Week, adopting saves lives. This is especially true during peak kitten and puppy season when shelters are extra full. Bringing home a pet like Moxie or Pixie creates space for the shelter to help another animal in need.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 (𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫), who was one of our longer residents, is 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 — and her family says they absolutely love her to pieces.

When Charlotte first went home, she had a little anxiety as she adjusted to her new surroundings. But with 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞, and the help of her orange big brother 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨 (𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐒𝐍𝐓 𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒), she has truly started to come out of her shell.

Lucy came to 𝐇𝐒𝐍𝐓 after a local shelter reached out for urgent help with a tiny kitten suffering from severe head trauma. She arrived with significant swelling on her head and needed immediate medical care, including the removal of an injured toe. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Meet our @cbsnewstexas pet of the week.

Dumpling, a 3-year-old Frenchie who is living proof that you don’t actually need to hear the party to be the party. Since Dumpling is deaf, she’s developed some hilarious "main character" energy that keeps everyone on their toes. You can’t exactly call her name to get her attention, so we’ve had to get pretty creative—usually, a well-timed toy toss or the vibration of a snack hitting the floor is all it takes to get her looking your way.

The best part about her, though, is the soundtrack. She manages to produce the loudest, most impressive pig snorts you’ve ever heard. The irony is that since she can't hear herself, she has absolutely no clue she sounds like a tiny, adorable freight train whenever she’s excited. If you’re looking for a goofy BFF who will never judge your singing voice and will keep you laughing 24/7, Dumpling is your girl.
