FROM VOLUNTEERING TO FOSTERING TO ADOPTING

This summer, my daughter adopted Leroy, a 4-month-old Lionhead bunny, and he has absolutely stolen our hearts. Sweet, smart, and endlessly mischievous (like the time he hopped onto her vanity, tossed all her brushes to the floor, and admired himself in the mirror with his tongue out ), he keeps us laughing daily.

He’s litter box trained, loves to free roam, and has become her little bestie. I’ve watched her grow in responsibility, maturity, and confidence as she’s cares for him—waking up early before school to feed, clean, and give him love. She wants him to have the best life, so we also adopted Laney (formerly Rosie, a 3-year-old lop from HSNT). She is the calm to Leroy’s energy, the yin to his yang. We couldn’t adore them more.

And to Leroy’s foster—thank you. Because you volunteered your time, fostered with love, and made adoption possible, my daughter and these bunnies have a bond that has changed her life.
