Last December I adopted a senior kitty from HSNT who was surrendered by her previous owners of almost 9 years. Her original name was Tabby, but I renamed her Debra (Just seemed more fitting haha). 
She is the absolute best cat! Since her pet profile stated she is afraid of other animals, she is the only pet in the house and is treated like royalty. 
We have bought her every toy imaginable, and of course a whole bunch of pipe cleaners since her previous owners stated they’re her favorite! We have a big screened in porch that she can safely enjoy the outdoor weather and watch the birds and deer that come into our yard! We also make sure to always include her in every holiday. Easter she got a basket, Christmas she got a stocking, she got a Valentine, and for her birthday lots of gifts! We also lit a candle and sang to her! I’ve posted her on my TikTok, and her cuteness has gained her a good amount of attention! We give her all the snuggles and love imaginable! 
I just wanted to give a happy update since her story was sad being given up my previous owners 
I originally went to the Humane Society looking for a kitten, but fell in love with Debra instead! She is the complete opposite of what I originally was going for, but I wouldn’t change it for a thing! I hope others will also keep senior kitties in mind when adopting, she is the best!
