Be an HSNT Superhero, Support our lifesaving work!

The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is much more than an animal shelter; we’re a resource to our entire community. Our goal is to improve the lives of North Texas pets and the people who love them. That is why we offer a variety of innovative, affordable and lifesaving services to our community.

The board, staff and volunteers are motivated by their unifying belief: kindness for animals is part of what it means to be human. HSNT is the largest animal shelter in Tarrant County, saving thousands of pets that are homeless, neglected, or injured. We build strategic and innovative programs to place (or keep!) pets in loving homes. In 2021, HSNT touched the lives of more than 17,000 pets, and we anticipate that increasing in 2022. Our live-release rate has climbed from 96% in 2021 to 98% in 2022!

HSNT does more with less and is funded almost entirely by private donations as we are not affiliated with any national organization. We are proud to be recognized as a 4-star charity by Charity Navigator, putting us in the top 1% of all charities nationwide, with respect to governance, financial accountability and transparency.
