Out of an abundance of caution, the intake of dogs at the Lancaster Avenue location is temporarily closed to prevent the possible spread of canine influenza in our shelter. In addition, dog adoptions from the Saxe-Forte (Fort Worth) location are also temporarily closed.

In April 2016, I adopted more than just a dog from HSNT, I adopted my best fur-friend.
Remington makes everyday brighter with his ear to ear smile and goofy personality. He is no stranger to dogs and people and impresses everyone he meets that you can adopt a dog this handsome at your local shelter!
Remington is a foster dog mentor that teaches shelter dogs in our care, that his home is a safe place and it's okay to let loose and play. Remington wants all shelter dogs to find loving furever homes so they can live life spoiled!
