Feeling very grateful on the first anniversary of adopting Pearce from the Humane Society of North Texas. From the very start, Pearce has fit in so well with our other dogs and cats. I raised an orphan squirrel for 4 months and released him over a month ago. He comes back almost daily to eat and interact with me, and Pearce actually watches for him and gets excited when he comes! He and one of my cats really bonded with the squirrel. 

One of my “grand dogs” is a Great Pyrenees and Pearce frequently walks with him at the park. Pearce has also made two trips to Gulf Shores and is a perfect travelling companion. He loves everyone and seems very confident that everyone loves him. Our seven grandchildren have contributed greatly to that. 

 I just wanted to thank the Humane Society of North Texas once again for all the joy that you have brought us through this little dog and to update you a bit on his past year. 

I tell myself that we were very lucky to have gotten him, but I realize that he is a representative of many, many  wonderful animals awaiting adoption.
