Out of an abundance of caution, the intake of dogs at the Lancaster Avenue location is temporarily closed to prevent the possible spread of canine influenza in our shelter. In addition, dog adoptions from the Saxe-Forte (Fort Worth) location are also temporarily closed.

From day one of coming home, Humphrey knew that this is where he belonged. He was so gentle with our children and our senior cat upon introduction, in fact he is very kid friendly. If he doesn’t hear them making noises he will go and look for them and investigate what is going on. Humphrey has been the missing puzzle piece to our family, he blends in so well. We make sure he goes with us on car rides when he is able too (he sure does love his car rides), he loves going to public places because he gets even more attention and love. He is truly a ladies man. We are so thankful that HSNT was able to help Humphrey and give him a second chance at finding a new home/family, because with the wonderful help of staff and volunteers listening to what we were looking for in a new family member, they showed us a little dog with a big heart.
