Out of an abundance of caution, the intake of dogs at the Lancaster Avenue location is temporarily closed to prevent the possible spread of canine influenza in our shelter. In addition, dog adoptions from the Saxe-Forte (Fort Worth) location are also temporarily closed.

Three years ago our sweet 10 year old dog, Callie, passed away. The loss was very painful, since she was such a great companion for all of her 10 years. After a few months I felt like there was a dog out there for us who was waiting for adoption. As a family we decided we could once again be a home where a dog could live out a life in a forever home.
On September 2, 2016 we visited HSNT Keller and saw Him. He was an owner surrender. As soon as we saw him, we knew he was perfect.
Elliott is spunky, quirky, and a very loved member of our family. In addition to my husband and me, Elliott has two teenagers, a dog brother, and a cat brother to play and snuggle with. We cannot imagine a better tribute to our sweet girl in her loss than giving Elliott a forever home.
Thank you so much for all you do and for being wonderful match makers.
