Out of an abundance of caution, the intake of dogs at the Lancaster Avenue location is temporarily closed to prevent the possible spread of canine influenza in our shelter. In addition, dog adoptions from the Saxe-Forte (Fort Worth) location are also temporarily closed.

My daughter and I are HSNT volunteers at the Keller location. We love to spend time walking the dogs and petting the cats. We hope they get as much joy from it as we do! On one of our
latest trips we met 2 of the sweetest Guinea Pigs that had been recently surrendered. My daughter had said at Christmas that she wanted to get Guinea Pigs and we had been looking
for a rescue opportunity so when she saw them, she immediately fell in love. We went straight out to get everything we needed to take them home and returned the next day to get our girls Allie and Ari. We also have 2 rescue dogs (Bob and Joey) and a rescue cat (Witten) and they all get along wonderfully! Previously we had also adopted a a sweet bunny (Mr. Nibbles) and our dog Peanut.
Thank you HSNT!! We love our little furry family.
