Free Adoptions at HSNT

Updated: May 19, 2022

The Humane Society of North Texas has reached a crisis point with our shelter capacity for medium & large-sized dogs. We NEED our community to step up and adopt. Now.

We consistently transfer pets by flight or truck to northern states who don’t struggle with pet overpopulation. We host offsite adoption events every weekend. We work with rescues and fosters to move pets from our shelters to their care. It simply isn’t enough to bear the overpopulation of homeless pets in Texas.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Adopt.

  • Foster.

  • Donate so we can continue our lifesaving work.

  • Educate people in a respectful way regarding spaying and neutering their pets.

  • Adopt.

  • Adopt.

  • Adopt.

ALL shelters are at capacity, and tough decisions are being made across the US. This is a dire time in the animal welfare community. Please. Consider our foster program. Consider adoption. Consider donating to our lifesaving efforts.

Thanks to generous sponsorship donations from the following people, all dogs over six months old and over 30 pounds are FREE to adopt at all HSNT locations (excluding Hurst Adoption Center)
