HSNT removes 56 dogs from White Settlement home

FORT WORTH, TX (April 19, 2005) The Humane Society of North Texas, in cooperation with the owners, removed 56 Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mixed dogs (18 puppies and 38 adults) from a White Settlement residence on Tuesday, April 19.

Humane Investigators responded to a tip from an anonymous caller regarding the deplorable living conditions and odor. Inside the collector’s home, investigators noted the animals residing among fecal and urine matter. None of the animals removed from the home were spayed or neutered, permitting them to breed among the group.

The Humane Society of North Texas will evaluate each animal for overall health conditions and temperament. Once the animals have been examined, they will be placed for adoption. The shelter is taking pre-approved applications for those interested in these rescued dogs. For information on adopting an animal, please contact us at 817-332-HSNT (4768) or log on to www.hsnt.net.
